(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, Ca 93257) – The 2nd Annual Eagle Awards dinner was held on January 23 to honor 84 Team Members who received an Eagle Award in 2017. Ever since Eagle Mountain Casino established their Eagle Awards Program in January 2016, hundreds of team members have received recognition for exhibiting various core values from friendliness to teamwork.

Valuable employees who possess core values such as honesty, teamwork, friendliness, respect, appreciation and empowerment are nominated and receive certificates for their recognition. The team members can be nominated by an employee or guest. They are then given a certificate related to their core value and a colored lanyard that symbolizes the core value they were nominated for. Each value is associated with a different color. The Quality award is given to the Team Member with the overall best nominated value for that month.

On January 23, Eagle Award recipients and a guest were treated to a beautiful dinner in the Forest Buffet to celebrate their recognition. General Manager Matthew Mingrone along with Department Managers and Directors joined their employees for the delicious dinner made by the Casinos Food & Beverage Department. Guests dined on Tri-Tip and chicken with a side of steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes. Cheesecake was given as dessert.

General Manager Matthew Mingrone announced all the nominated winners for each core value throughout the year, along with the Team Member who had the most nominations, most nominations by a guest and the department who received the most Eagle Awards. Angie Acuna was the most nominated Team Member with 156 nominations. Diana Chacon received the most nominations from guests and the Cage Department won for having the most Eagle Awards within their Department.

Congratulations to 2017’s Eagle Award winners and the nominees.
