(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, CA 93257) – Team members that have worked at Eagle Mountain Casino for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years were treated to a celebration for their Years of Service at the Eagle Mountain Casino’s event center on July 19th. The first of two events celebrated the months of January through June and featured decorative table settings, a sit-down dinner, and dessert for all team members and their families. The Tule River Tribal Council and Eagle Mountain Casino management were also in attendance to honor team members.
Eagle Mountain Casino team members were awarded various gifts, including a commemorative lapel pin, “Years of Service” certificate, Visa gift cards, and an assortment of electronics, tablets, big screen TV, and BBQ Grill.
General Manager, Matthew Mingrone, started the event with a speech of appreciation to team members.
“We have a lot of thanks and appreciation for being the People’s Casino, but without you, there would be no People’s Casino,” said Mingrone.
Honored team members for five years of service were Jessica Dugan -Security Sergeant, Marlena Pettit – Executive Administrator; Maribel Zimmerman – Benefit and Compliance Administrator. Honored team member for ten years of service was Genalyn Alvarico – Revenue Auditor. Honored team members for 15 years of service were John Hunter – Custodian, Virgilio Miguel – Dishwasher, and Jennifer Phipps – Casino Host.
The biggest group of honored team members were the 20 years of service team members, Fe Ayala – Server, Carlito Cubero – Maintenance Specialist, Leticia Mendez – Server, Edmund Miguel – Card Dealer, Anie Pagtama – Slot Attendant, Arthur Singleton – Graphic Designer, Maria Villalobos – Cook, and Kevin Yang – Slot Attendant.
Honored team members for 25 years of service were Vivian Bernal – Casino Shift Manager; Tiffani Sahagun – Assistant General Manager; Stanley Santos SR – Director of Security, and Susan Williams – Cage Manager.
The celebration concluded with words for the future as the excitement and countdown continues to Fall for the opening of Eagle Mountain Casino’s relocation property. Eagle Mountain Casino also continues to hire more team members as they prepare for the Fall opening.
“Because of the culture that you and the rest of your teammates have built, were hiring more team members, and its all of our responsibility to remind them, how did we make it through 26 years up here? It’s by being part of the People’s Casino. That’s the culture that each one of you created your part of that team, so we need to relay that message to the new team members because not everybody operates the way we do, not everybody has the skills that you have, and that’s why we are moving, and we are going to expand our family” said Mingrone.
Eagle Mountain Casino will hold another Years of Service event in January of 2023 recognizing team members from the months of July through December.
“Remember, you are the ones that set the bar really high, so when new people come along, show them the way, your at the People’s Casino, and we take care of people. Thank you for all your hard work,” continued Mingrone.

Currently, Eagle Mountain Casino is located 17 miles east of Porterville and is a full-service casino owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. Guests must be 18 years of age to enter. The new casino property is scheduled to open in late Fall of 2022, off Highway 65 in Porterville, CA, next to the Porterville Fair Grounds. The new property will double in size, growing to over 100,000 square feet, featuring new dining options, 1750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a 2000 seat state-of-the-art event center.
