Concert fans will soon experience ‘First Class’ Event Center

(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, CA 93257) –  Brent Milton, Principle President of Pacific West Sound and Video, has worked with Eagle Mountain Casino for the past 20 years. Milton and his brother Kirk who owns Innovative Concert Lighting (ICL), started in event production as teenagers in Bakersfield, CA, and are now the companies behind Eagle Mountain Casino’s success as the premiere entertainment destination in Central Valley, California.
 
“We grew up with a good work ethic and an interest in all things electrical. My father was an audiophile, so the audio side I get from an MMB Electrician and doing lots of custom stuff. There were always lots of lighting components involved, so we put them together, dug into it, and never looked back”, said Milton.
 
Kirk provides lighting and truss structures, and Brent delivers sound and video at the Casino’s current event center tent structure, which recently produced its final show in July.
 
“We were both born in Bakersfield on the eastside; both of our shops are within a mile from where we were born, grew up, went to school, and from one another,” said Milton.
 
Milton has turned his focus now to the new 2000-seat state-of-the-art event center that will debut when the Casino opens the doors to their new property in late Fall.
 
“Eagle Mountain Casino said they were building a new event center. They enrolled us in the process and gave us a voice. Not only do we bring a tremendous amount of real-world talent to the table as far as what to do, but we also know what not to do. They were very open to accepting some of the proposed costs, like acoustic treatment, non-parallel walls, and the structure for steel. They did a ton of work that the architects wouldn’t have seen, but because we are involved, and we know how things go intimately, it is going to be fantastic,” said Milton.
Milton expressed how Eagle Mountain Casino’s new event venue will be a first-class event center. Concert fans and guests will notice how the quality of experience and the Casino build will be exceptional.
 
“Eagle Mountain Casino wants to represent Porterville beautifully; they want to represent the Tule River Tribe beautifully,” said Milton.
 
For over 20 years, Eagle Mountain Casino’s event venue was a tent structure at the current property that featured many headline talent.
 
“The former event center tent served its purpose and presented excellent value for what they were doing; it was money well spent. But the new event center will be completely different. The air conditioning will be quiet. They will integrate the house lighting into the structure, it will be on flat land, and you can hang whatever you want from it. The room has a good personality,” said Milton.
 
Milton believes the new event center is being done correctly, which will be accommodating for production crews.
 
“From truck parking to bus power, how they designed the HPAC system, the communication system, all the things that typically fall between the cracks have been considered,” said Milton.
 
As the excitement builds to the grand opening of the new property, Milton shared some things Pacific West is looking forward to.
 
“We are excited as it is closer, easier and safer for us to get to, and that speaks for everyone in Bakersfield. They will permanently integrate video systems into the structure with new LED screens. It will look nice. The bands will be pleased. In the past, the bands had to compromise to get everything to work. The permanence of the structure will be so beneficial,” said Milton.
 
Eagle Mountain Casino will be an economic engine for the community. Local vendors like Pacific West and Innovative Concert Lighting, along with their unique brotherhood and hometown story, are proof of that. 
 
Currently, Eagle Mountain Casino is located 17 miles east of Porterville and is a full-service casino owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. Guests must be 18 years of age to enter. The Casino is open 24/7. In addition, the Grizzly Food court is open 24/7, and the River Steakhouse is open Friday – Sunday from 5pm – 10pm. Eagle Mountain Casino is a short drive from Bakersfield or Visalia.
 
The new casino property is scheduled to open in late Fall of 2022, off Highway 65 in Porterville, CA, next to the Porterville Fair Grounds. The new property will double in size, growing to over 100,000 square feet, featuring new dining options, 1750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a 2000-seat state-of-the-art event center.
