Tule River Tribe’s Foundation of Economic Growth and Success is the highlight of the Economic Summit

(Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, CA 93257) – The Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino were the Title Sponsor of the Sequoia Regional Economic Summit on February 10th at the Wyndham Hotel and Conference Center in Visalia, an event hosted by the Sequoia Regional Economic Development Foundation and the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation.

Ador Cardenas, the Interim Marketing Director, stepped in for Matthew Mingrone, General Manager of Eagle Mountain Casino, and was the Title Sponsor Speaker at the event. Also in attendance were Eagle Mountain Casino’s Assistant General Manager Tiffani Sahagun and members of the Marketing team, Mistie Webb & Cristina Benitez.

Cardenas highlighted the benefits of working for the Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino.

The economic contributions that the Tule River Tribe has provided to Tulare County were presented in a special video presentation also celebrating the Tule River Tribe’s 150th Anniversary of sovereignty.

“It’s fitting as I have witnessed Eagle Mountain Casino & the Tule River Tribe’s economic growth and investment in the community, all the people employed by them, including myself and our valued guests we serve,” said Cardenas.

Cardenas also provided his success story working for Eagle Mountain Casino for over 25 years.

“When I started with the casino in 1998, I was a college student working as a dishwasher and cook. The casino was in mobile trailers with 350 video terminals, three blackjack tables, and the

Tule River Tribe had a few essential departments. I transferred to the Slot Department where I was training and educated to become a Technician, Supervisor, and Department Manager”, said Cardenas.

Eagle Mountain Casino has grown to 1200 slot machines, table games, two restaurants, a food court, and an event center. The Tule River Tribe has over 17 departments for its community, and the Tule River Economic Development Corporation.

Cardenas is currently the Interim Marketing Director overseeing Advertising, Public Relations, Transportation, and the Retail Department.

“The new casino in phase 1 will soon open its doors with 1,750 slot machines, 20 table games, five restaurants, and a 2000-seat event center. In addition, the Tule River Tribe continues with economic growth and partnerships, including the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Porterville. The Porterville Area Development Authority was created as an authorized JPA”, said Cardenas.

Eagle Mountain Casino is also a proud member of 9 Chambers of Commerce in Kern, Tulare, and Kings County.

Currently, Eagle Mountain Casino is located 17 miles east of Porterville and is a full-service casino owned and operated by the Tule River Tribe. Guests must be 18 years of age to enter. The casino is open 24/7. In addition, the Grizzly Food court is open 24/7, and the River Steakhouse is open Friday – Sunday from 5pm – 10pm. Eagle Mountain Casino is a short drive from Bakersfield or Visalia.

The new casino property is scheduled to open in 2023, off Highway 65 in Porterville, CA, next to the Porterville Fair Grounds. The new property will double in size, growing to over 100,000 square feet, featuring new dining options, 1750 slot machines, 20 table games, and a 2000 seat state-of-the-art event center.

Tule River Tribe Presents Veterans Pow Wow at Eagle Mountain Casino November 10th- 12th

Veterans will be celebrated this November at Eagle Mountain Casino with a variety of events including the Tule River Veterans Pow Wow that will take place on Veteran’s Day November 10th and continue November 11th and 12th, 2023. Grand Entries for the 2023 Tule River Veterans Pow Wow are Friday November 10th at 7pm, Saturday November 11th at 1pm and 7pm.
